Black Forest Meadows

Updated: Jul 17

Let me start by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed my tour at Black Forest Meadows. Deborah and Ed were lovely to meet and very personable. My two kiddos tagged along on this tour, and I can confidently say that my daughter’s favorite part was the alpacas, and trust me, you’ll absolutely love them too.

Surrounded by the evergreens of Black Forest in Northeastern Colorado Springs, Black Forest Meadows is a captivating and peaceful venue. Its location provides a very intimate and private feel and can accommodate up to 75 guests. Black Forest Meadows is open from Memorial Day though October, so you are sure to have beautiful weather.

Black Forest Meadows has many personal touches designed with their couples in mind. They have a spacious kennel for dogs on the property if you decide to include your furry friends in your wedding. There is also a fire pit right next to the pavilion if you’re looking for a late night snack (s’mores anyone?) or if you’d just like to spend some time laughing and chatting with your friends and family by the fire. If you love taking fun photos with your friends, the Main Barn has a built-in photo booth stall with fairy lights. I appreciate that they took the time to include these details that make the day extra special for their couples.

The three main spaces on the property are the Main Barn, Grassy Knoll, and Forest Pavilion. The barn provides a welcome station and a charming space to get ready for the bridal party. The Grassy Knoll is a lovely space for the ceremony, and provides a grand view of Pikes Peak through the trees. There is also a custom wedding arbor that elevates the space. The Forest Pavilion is an excellent space for dinner and dancing. It’s nice that you can also layout this space in the way that best serves you.

Black Forest Meadows offers an All-Inclusive Experience, Exclusive Venue Rental, and Micro Celebrations. Their all-inclusive packages range from $14,950 to $28,100 depending on your wedding date, amount of guests, and which of the two packages you select. This is for the brides that want to have everything taken care of so there is nothing left they have to take care of themselves. If you prefer the DIY route, the venue rental is $3,500 for 7 hours and $6,000 for 12 hours. Included in both scenarios is a two hour rehearsal the day before the wedding, tables and chairs, and 12 hours of venue access the day of. If you are looking for an extra intimate wedding day, their micro celebrations are perfect for up to 35 guests. This package costs $9,500 and includes the venue, a planner, dessert, florals, a charcuterie experience, and bar service. The most unique thing though is that every wedding at Black Forest Meadows includes alpacas. Meeting their alpacas was a lot of fun, and I’m sure guests will be excited to interact with them.

Bonus photo of Autumn meeting Summer and Gypsy (who loved to eat)

They roam the property during cocktail hour so everyone can meet them and take photos. We got a kick out of my daughter, Autumn, meeting the alpaca named Summer who is the same age.

Black Forest Meadows is a very special venue with a unique experience to offer. I believe that any couple who gets married there will be overjoyed with their decision. We definitely had a great time getting to tour and meet Deborah and Ed.
